A MoonShadow MoonShadow

Rough week…

Hospitals, doctors, taking care of an ill parent and today, the funeral of a very close friend of the family. I don’t handle the “D” word well to begin with, but I’m having to deal with it this year – it keeps jumping in front of me proclaiming its presence right in my face. I can count on one hand the number of funerals I have been to in my life – two of which have been this year.

This morning was a Catholic funeral mass. I was noticing all the imagery that had its roots in ancient Egypt from the winged motif on the corners of the casket to the procession to the cemetery similar to the causeway processions that led the Pharaoh to the pyramid, we have all been going down this road for eons. Just for clarification – the goddesses of Isis, oh and I’m too tired to remember the others as protectors on the corners of ancient Egyptian sarcophagi.

Very sad to mark another passing tho’
